Today the club looks to the future, in recent days the municipality has completed the installation of the flood protection system carried out by the company Point Technique , Acquastop distributor for Belgium.

“We have installed a series of perfectly waterproof bulkheads produced by Acquastop, an Italian company specialized in protecting against flooding,” explains Fabrice Poncelet of the Point Technique company, official Acquastop® distributor for Belgium.

“To define the height of the barriers, it is necessary to find the right compromise between the level of the water from which the customer wants to protect himself and the resistance capacity of the building walls to pressure, to avoid the collapse of the building. At FC Bande we have agreed with the municipality to install a barrier of almost one meter, approximately the height of the building’s windows” concludes Poncelet.

Various companies competed for the construction of the work but in the end this Italian system was chosen for its efficiency and ease of use .

“The installation was carried out by the municipality but it is the building manager who will position the bulkheads in case of risk of flooding” specifies Stéphane Piérard, director of works for the municipality of Nassogne.

“It is the first time that the municipality has taken action to protect buildings from flooding and this occasion can allow interested private individuals to see this system in action here in Bande, but we will also install it in the football field in Forrières”, comments the mayor Marc Quirynen.

The bulkheads installed by Point Technique are from the ACQUASTOP CLASSIC® line , functional and quick to apply barriers, specifically designed to protect houses, garages, villas, shops, gardens but also large buildings such as companies, sports facilities and shopping centers from flooding.
